My beloved Rinse passed away in May last year. I’ve been blaming myself since then. Rinse was an angel for our family. Someone said it. “You don’t need to overcome your pet loss. You can mourn as much as you want. You can cry as much as you want.” I definitely don’t want to forget the memories with Rinse. And I want to live together with her forever and ever. By looking back over the past and cherishing each memory, I want to find a way to live now happily.
One Day Outside with Rinse
It’s hard and sad every day. I’ve been regretting all day long. But when I think that this painful feeling will fade with my memory gradually and eventually, it makes me really gloomy. People say that, “Human is an animal that forgets.” Maybe it’s because if people can’t forget things and always full of sorrow and pain, people would get sick. Maybe that is why people forget things gradually and even the biggest grief will fade gradually. My children worried about me and they suggested me to move out from the apartment that I’m currently living, the place with full of memories with Rinse. But I absolutely didn’t want to forget each memory with Rinse. Although “forgetting” is a necessary process for humans, I wanted to live together with Rinse’s memory forever. To keep the memories with Rinse, I have done things as follows.
A camera store in the neighborhood made an album for me. I categorized the pictures by themes. According to the camera shop keeper, they didn’t use digital printing and really printed the photograph so that the pictures will be kept in a clear image for a long time.
Making an Album
My daughter Toko made me a music video showing the history of Rinse and my family from when Rinse became our family at 0 years old until she dies at 15 years old and 5 months. I chose the pictures and wrote messages according to the theme. I’d like to upload it on the blog in the near future after hiding family members faces and fixing some parts.
I ordered a 3D figure to 3D PETSHOP that can make a 3D figure from pet’s pictures. They were introduced on NHK’s TV program, Ohayo Nippon’s Machikado-Johoshitsu.
